On November 2nd, 2019, founder, and CEO Zoeie Kreiner had to contact her son who was deployed and inform him that one of his closest friends lost his battle with PTSD. Within a week and a half, her son would lose two more people to PTSD. After months of trying to think of a way to help her son and others, Zoeie started to wonder about those who do not have someone looking out for them. From there, she began to form a plan. One evening after talking with another military mom, Zoeie sat down and created a simple goal: to save lives - one hero at a time. Since its beginning in 2020, Support Over Stigma has grown at an incredible rate, providing support to over 25,000 veterans, military members, and first responders. Through life saving outreach programs, educational programs, and direct confrontation of trauma induced mental health, we are empowering those we help to live a life of hope.
Support Over Stigma is a nonprofit dedicated to saving the lives of our Military, Veterans, First Responders and families through the support, education, tools, and resources they need to overcome mental health and service-related challenges.
To make a lasting impact on the well-being of those who serve our nation by fostering a culture of support, raising awareness, and delivering effective resources to significantly reduce the number of military, veteran, and first responder suicides.
